THCA Isolate

THCA is a minor acid form cannabinoid found in most varieties of found in raw hemp plant material. It is present at low levels in hemp flower, generally alongside higher levels of CBDA, CBDVA or CBGA. (See also, THCA Products).

THCA is isolated from raw (non-decarbed) hemp flower and extracts using a series of specialised solvent extraction, chromatography and crystallisation techniques. By keeping temperatures low and avoiding oxidation THCA can be isolated too 99%+ purity with zero detectable THC.

What is THCA?

THCA is a cannabinoid that is present in raw cannabis plants. It is the acidic precursor to THC and is converted into THC when exposed to heat or light, a process known as decarboxylation. This is why smoking or vaping cannabis flowers can produce a psychoactive effect, while consuming raw cannabis will not.

THCA is also unique in that it has a different chemical structure than THC. While THC contains a cyclic ring structure, THCA has a carboxylic acid group. This difference in structure can impact its potential effects on the body.

How to Use THCA Isolate

THCA will not have any psychoactive effect unless decarboxylated via heating (which can occur during cooking or smoking).
