Question: What’s the Difference between CBGA isolate, CBGA extract and CBGA Kief?
Answer
Hi, thanks for reaching out.
Kief is a natural product produced by physically shaking/sifting flower – often with dry ice.
Our Kief is 50% CBGA
It’s a natural concentrate and is widely used in edibles or for hash making.
CBGA extract is a solvent extraction of CBGA flower.
It’s typically 75% to 95% CBGA and is usually an amber colored crumbly solid resin. It melts to form an amber resin and is readily soluble in oil. Effectively it has a similar composition to kief with all the plant material removed, leaving only the cannabis resin.
CBGA isolate is pure CBGA
It’s produced with chemical extraction, distillation and crystallisation.
So it’s a white powder 99.5%+ Pure single compound
All are a great ingredient for making edibles and can also be consumed directly with minimal processing.
CBGA has relatively high water solubility and bioavailability compared to CBD and other decarboxylated cannabinoids.
